If I wanna be popular I gotta draw more popular things

I often see Pico and FNF fanart (cuz, it's NG lol) so I gotta draw the sillies too

The sillies in question :

Salad Fingers, Mr. Happy Face, Nene, Strawberry Clock, F-Bot!

Those are my personal favorites at least, you may have fun drawing a few of those :)

I’m not good at the game with the sillies either.
I remember playing FNF on a sketchy website that couldn’t load the textures correctly, so Boyfriend was just a black box.

Alien Hominid is pretty big for NG.

Mmhhh...I think that what really matters is drawing what you like and feel to draw rather than following popular stuff. I like FNF and I am gradually learning to play it in a relative decent way despite Pico update is still too much (he's damn fast XD) but I enjoy it nonetheless. I suggest you to play it on easy mode with Boyfriend to learn and memorize patterns. Small steps. I admit though that my heart breaks a bit when people associate Pico only to FNF, some even think he's a FNF character when he's not....(sigh). Pico is way more than that, he carries a deeper symbolism linked to what old Internet used to be before social media bs and he also symbolises NG userbase. I think this masterpiece well sums it up (I still need to properly comment because I think it's the best Pico fanart but I will explain in the review I am going to do):

And you can always add a personal touch and a nice twist to popular characters like Pico such as this underrated artist does with Pico, he loves classic Pico and gave to the story an interesting horror-vibe to the compositions, not to mention the style that gives Pico a different vibe which I like because it differs from most Pico fanarts I saw (don't get me wrong I love them but I also love seeing creativity since he can be interpreted in many way was after all): https://xkullexon.newgrounds.com/art
He even made a very cool and interesting horror AU about old school Pico: https://xkullexon.newgrounds.com/news/post/1495912

I also suggest taking a look at these series that are the backbone of this site since its origins:

https://www.newgrounds.com/series

maybe some are not well-know or are not popular as they used to be but exploring them is never a bad idea and drawing fanarts of them may help people discover little gems covered under the dust of time.

Another popular series is Nightmare Cops, here the trailer to know a bit more about it:

As for me besides Pico's school, I also love Blockhead, Bitey, Spooky Month, Strawberry Clock, P-Bot, A-Bot, M-Bot, Salad Fingers, Angry Faic, Tankmen, Charlie the Unicorn, Madness series, Punch Punch Forever, Wheelie Yellow Series, Horizonauts, Scrotum, Castle Crashers, Alien Hominid, Dad 'n Me and many others.

Explore, find what you like the most and have fun with it.

@ShangXian
Don't worry I know Pico isn't originally from FNF, that's why I separated the two games (Pico *and* FNF)! The Pico drawing is very sad, but a lot of us are young and didn't grew up with NG! But hopefully there's more people who gets interested in Pico's School too! :D

Also, thank you for introducing me to xkullexon, his drawings are very good! :D
And thank you for your list of popular characters :)

@SouSTAR Despite I joined the site only in 2023, I remember the tank logo since 2006 because I played many flash games at that time (Henry Stickmin and all games made by Wiesi, rest in peace buddy) and the first games made by Tom Fulp I played was Samurai Asshole (another character I suggest you to discover). I remember Pico since then but at that time I didn't knew he was such important character, at the beginning of 2000s he was for me "that orange-haired kid with green shirt and a gun on his hand" lol but that design struck me for its simplicity.

I'm glad more people are re-discovering Pico thanks to FNF. fun fact about me: I had my very first computer the same year NG was born.

You are welcome, he is a great, talented artist. I hope more people discovers him and if he posts other cool artworks I will gladly suggest them to be frontpaged.

No problem, I like sharing what I like^^ This site is like a world made of worlds to be discovered and explored. It's way bigger than we can image.

@ShangXian
I was born in 2006 lol im only 18 XD
Never knew anything about NG, and the fact that it's not really known in France or just Europe in general didn't helped much

Oh and I played Henry Stickmin too, but on Steam! When I discovered that many things that I liked came from Newgrounds (Punch Punch Forever, and another artist I really like), I wanted to join too :)

And yes NG is really diverse! Discovered mexican artists, brazillian, french, japanese, chinese... I'm thinking about making dedicated playlists, i started with the french one! :D

@SouSTAR If you want to know more about NG's history, this link is highly recommended (it's long but it's worthy): https://www.newgrounds.com/wiki/about-newgrounds/history

I live in Italy (I'm Romanian though) so I am in the same boat as you ^^' (where I live no one knows about NG and most people use crap like Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp) and it's always sad that I can't participate on NG meetups since they mostly happen in US but if I ever have occasion and conditions are favourable the only reason to go to US is a NG meetup. I hope one day to see one in continental Europe. Last year there was a Pico Day in Dublin but ofc I couldn't go because I was attending University classes and I was preparing several exams).

I played Henry Stickmin in 2014 on flash games sites, and then on Steam (I have all achievements, I love that series)

oooooooooooooooooooohhhhhhhh, I love that you are creating playlists about artists of different nationalities, I will explore your playlists and add to a future playlist dedicated to artists of different countries. Since you mentioned this, I want to link here a Kenyan artist I discovered yesterday (first African artist here I discovered):
