It's really cute and also it make me feel a weird emotion
When the cat transformed into paper origami, losing its familiar face and shape, i was a bit intrigued.

I interpret it about the sense of nostalgia. The colorless background, made of blank paper, it's as if the past was untouched.

The cat, very different from its surrounding, embarks in the paper boat they made, supposly to remember how it felt like to make paperboats as a kid.

We don't really remember how stuff happened, we don't remember how stuff looked like, but we knew for sure it was a good time. The cat only remember the paperboats and origamis of their childhood.

The cat transforms into paper origami, like its surroundings. It loses its shape, loses its face, until being a simplified version of itself, the same way nostalgia simplify our memory of the past.

And it falls from the waterfall, happily lost in nostalgia.

@Kaleidiope 's chimebox music really fit the animation, it's like old kid's music boxes!
