I don't wanna draw the end of the comic, im unmotivated tbh...

But! I drew like 3/4 of the comic, and it still make sense, but id prefer to draw it completely... But I'm feeling lazy... + I wanna draw something else.

No matter how much thought/motivation i put on my projects, I can't dedicate more than 2 days on them. It's actually cool i took ~one week to draw the comic!

But i still want to show yall the comic... Even though it's not finished...

My suggestion would be to just take a break from the comic and question and return to it at a later date.
This isn't a race. Not everything that exists 'in some state' has to be published right then and there no matter what. Plus: Imagine how much better it will look once it's actually finished and polished.

I agree with what @Yatsufusa said, don't force yourself to finish something if you just don't really feel like it, because you'll probably end up getting frustrated with the results if you make them without enough motivation.

Take a break from the project, focus on other stuff that you might be more interested in, and continue it when you feel ready enough.

Hey man it's cool, I too also prefer just posting things when they are done, makes it feel like more of a suprise for my followers. :3

Also like @Yatsufusa mentioned, it's probably best for you to take a break when you need it. I get wanting to post stuff all the time but sometimes you just need to ease up on yourself a little. If you'd want any advice on motivation I'd recommend researching online and seeing what methods could work best for you, but there's nothing wrong with wanting to take a break every now and then.

Like I've told many people on here who have made apology posts for not posting or working on stuff all the time, Newgrounds is not gonna penalize you in any way for not posting as it has no proper algorithm in place, so just take whatever time you need my man. :)

@Yatsufusa @Gekkotsuki @ChronoNG
Thank you all! I'll take as pause in drawing the comic then, it will be better :)

If you want to discipline yourself, I suggest you should get a planner (physical or digital) and give yourself deadlines. Create reasonable time of course. Don't want to get anxiety over for nothing. Since you're doing comics, in my opinion, do them bi-weekly. If you're doing 4koma, shorts or whatever; do a weekly.

On a random tangent: The people _really_ care about you, SouSTAR. I rarely see that many comments and notifications just for an artist being indecisive for a moment. :)

@Yatsufusa
And im very grateful for you all :)

Others have already answered your doubts, but I would like to add my two cents too since I sometimes feel this way when I join some collabs. It's not due to the collabs per se but more due to irl factors that drain my mental energies and consequently my will to draw. When it happens I usually don't force myself, I just stop and most of all I draw something else. Drawing something else helps me to recharge mentally, give an emotional prize to start, finish and complete something and put a break from the collab I am doing. Then I feel ready to finish my part again.

Never push yourself beyond the limit of your own drawing pace when you are at these levels, you are not working for a company where sadly you are pushed to the edge in order to finish in time, just take a look at people who work for anime and manga companies. You are in a condition when you can dictate by yourself your state, pace and rhythm. Since you are experiencing this, I strongly suggest you to take a break from the comic because I know you would like to share it right now to the world but I also fear it's still not completely finished and polished. So if from one hand you would feel excited to show it and see people' reaction, on the other hand you would fee extremely unsatisfied with yourself because the work is not completely done. Remember that comics usually require much more time to make not only because you have to draw, colour, shade and highlight many panels (even a single panel can be quite challenging), but also because a comic has a plot and a plot takes time in order to be functional and not forced for the sake of being shared with everyone.

So take your time, take a break, draw doodles, silly stuff to keep your mind at rest from the comic otherwise you will end up frustrated with your work and risk to develop a maladaptive pattern that will affect how you will approach the making-of-a-comic. And don't worry for lack of activity, Newgrounds won't shadowban you if you don't post every single day unlike Shitagram, Fuckbook, YouPoop, DeadBlueBird, etc. (yes I purposely misnamed those shitty sites) because there is no algorithm.

And if you struggle with discipline create a personal schedule, write down on a notebook how many pages or panels you want to draw in a day once you feel ok to draw it again. In this schedule also write down days of the week specifically dedicated to the comic. You don't have to draw every single day, just use Thursdays, Fridays (for example) as your comic drawing days.

Good luck and have fun at taking a break^^
