TheBestBroster responds:

Eyyyy heheh thank youuu!!

I can agree with your sentiment, for some reason, japanese entertainment have a lot of these fan service scenes (plus this obsession with kids)

But, a lot of mangas and anime doesn't show these. I think reducing them to fan service is such a shame... theres a lot of super good mangas and animes treating of various themes!

I enjoy reading manga for instance. "Nichijou" by Keiichi Arawi, or "Girls Last Tour" by TsukumiZ are super good, and very well written.

Please read these two mangas, Nichijou is surreal comedy and GLT is about philosophy. I don't know if you like these Comedy or Philosophy, but it's just to give two examples :)

After all, mangas are just comics! And it all depends about what we say or draw with these comics :)

i haven't actually watched(or rather finished) much anime or read much manga, mainly due to my first introductions being rather subpar - stuff like romance, sitcoms and seasonal waifu titles, none of which i enjoy, but some of my most favorite stories are from anime. the original ghost in the shell movie is 100% one of the best animation and storytelling i've ever experienced, as well as akira and a bunch of ghibli films. in my opinion ghost in the shell is one of the few examples of nudity done right without undermining the character, and i was thinking about it as i was writing this post. i could talk about it for literal hours, it is an absolute masterpiece.
i have heard many good things about girls last tour and i quite like the aesthetic but haven't come around to reading it yet. thank you for the recommendations, i'll keep them in mind.

Usually, At-tan would flee after being helped (well she did nearly flee here), but now, she's not scared of help. And more importantly, it seem she's not scared of Doctor anymore...

Also, how would going back to the village be the smart thing to do, after she was burned by them? It seem she base her judgement on what she know/doesn't know instead of what hurt her/doesn't hurt her... I don't understand

I really like the final panel too :)
The colors look very good!

handofdog responds:

Since At-tan is Scarecrow, her dichotomy is based around "smart or foolish". In this case, decision making from the perspective of the brainwashed/abused can look very irrational or foolish to someone who is not abused.

Sometimes people wonder, "Why did she get back with her ex, if he was abusing her? What an idiot, the smart thing would be to leave him." They're not accounting for how much damage the effects of abuse have had on her mind, how it skews & normalizes pain, and that her boyfriend promises to kill her if she leaves or calls the cops. So to her, what sounds smarter?

At-tan is trained to see it as foolish. She is taking big step and big risk to receive help. Also, thank you!

Hello! :D

Hi! Thank you very much for the 5 stars! This short anim loop was made in less than a day and I worked very hard to get it done ASAP, inktober was the reason for why I rushed to make it in under one day and I think it paid off really well!

Super cool concept!

manaista responds:

Thank you very much! It was a fun experiment.
