Looking at my artbook, I saw that every artists drew/painted different things, every pages I turned was like another whole world opening up, and that's the thing : they all have their own theme, which is portrayed by a style that fit the mood, and add more complexity. It's amazing.

And I don't really have a theme. I am sure nobody could tell what I draw, because I don't either. My style is inconsistent af, switching from thick outlines/blocky shapes to monochromatic, sketchy style, and going back to traditional, retro manga style. It make no sense!

And I just draw random things that doesn't even match! There's literally no constancy.... Tough lookin people, cars, random half-assed projects that I dropped in a couple weeks...

Putting labels on artists is a bit... dumb. But artists having a particular style and theme is actually proof of their expertise : they know what they are doing, and what they want to do.

So it means, I don't know what I want to say with my art.

Also, this cat is named "Uni" and have an official YouTube channel, and even a photobook.

I will upload the Singapura drawing later on this day, because it's still night/dawn in 'murica and I want to wait 'till it's morning there. Here in France, it's nearly evening.

Everything's calculated. It's Tuesday, morning in 'murica, I want a lot of people to see what I have done. It's nothing phenomenal but it is a huge improvement imo! :)

Working on a Singapura drawing :)

So two weeks ago, my fav artist said he wont be active much because he got a full time art job (happy for him!!!)

But something just clicked : a couple months ago, he got to draw for an artbook published by "Udon Entertainment", which seem to be some big publishing company (i dunno the company is Canadian I am not north american so they don't sell those here in Europe)

Now I wonder : are artbooks like some "art catalogue" for companies who search for artists to hire?

I mean, it can't be just a coincidence, right? Being hired some month after being published in an artbook!

Also, I fucking hate my studies

Studies sucks. I don't know why, but I physically can't sit my ass on a chair and re read the same paragraphs or working on a subject that is irrelevant to my interests :(

I gotta stop trying to write or do comics... I feel like I'm not really suited for that.

It's a bit weird because as a child I used to draw comics, irregularly, yes, but still!

I have this idea, I write the characters, but get bored quickly, and feel bad because i didn't worked on that project, and stop drawing... It's no good!

I'll try to focus on character designs and ideas, like I used to, instead of stories and projects :)
